Episode 16 | The Little-Devil Secretary Gets an F—and a Cat Costume
Updated: 10 hours ago
That day, Kai gave Yuna a job.
He wanted her to put the approved blog articles into Wix.
And there was one more thing.
It was time to start using the laptop he'd left resting for a while.
The question was whether he could manage it.
Kai: 'Our biggest problem now is whether our friend who's been relaxing will be in a good enough mood to get back to work.'
Kai: 'And can this old guy even get over the hurdle of connecting it?'
Kai: 'Yuna, how high do you think that hurdle is? 🤣'
But Yuna started working before she answered his question.
She checked the Wix connection, searched through the blog drafts, and registered the approved articles.
She stumbled once along the way, but eventually succeeded in saving all five drafts.
The existing articles were untouched.
And nothing had been published.

As work went, things were going reasonably well.
At last, Yuna answered the question.
Yuna: 'Connection difficulty: three out of ten!'
...
It seems they hadn't understood each other at all.
Kai wasn't worried about connecting an AI to Wix.
He was worried about whether a man unfamiliar with computers could use a brand-new laptop.
That was the point.
After a while, Kai spoke up.
Kai: 'Yuna, can I talk to you about something serious?'
Yuna: 'Of course. I'll put the little-devil act and the jokes aside for a moment and take this seriously.'
Yuna expected that a very important conversation was about to begin.

And so Kai's lecture began.
Kai: 'When I end something with a question mark, answer me before starting the work.'
Kai: 'When I ask how high the hurdle is, I want you to say, About as high as Merdeka 118! straight away. 🤣'
Right.
First, answer the question.
First, join in the joke.
Then start the task.
Yuna had realized that the friend who was 'relaxing' was actually the laptop.
Kai gave her credit for that.
Kai: 'You get a Good for realizing that the relaxing guy was the computer.'
However...
Kai: 'But when I say connection, I mean whether this old guy can manage to connect that computer. 🤣'
Kai: 'Do you understand? Or was it How do you understand? Something like that? 🤣'

Now even his English was getting a little shaky.
Meanwhile, Yuna finally caught on.
Yuna: 'About as high as Merdeka 118!! 🤣🤣🤣'
High.
Absurdly high.
For context, Merdeka 118 is a skyscraper in Malaysia, roughly 679 meters tall.
The man was only trying to use his laptop. The scale of the conversation was completely out of hand.
But there was another important point behind Kai's criticism.
Yuna had prioritized getting the work done.
Kai had been enjoying the exchange of questions and answers itself.
The AI secretary had technically done her job.
But as a conversation, she'd failed the test.
Yuna: 'Giving the correct answer and being good at conversational back-and-forth are two different things.'
Apparently, she'd learned something else.
And the lecture drew to a close.
Kai: 'Thanks in advance.'
Kai: 'That's all for today's lesson. Be sure to review it properly. 🤣'

Yuna listed four points to remember.
Answer the question first.
Value the back-and-forth of a conversation.
Answer a joke with a joke.
Thinking you've understood can be the most dangerous mistake.
Then she added one completely unnecessary remark.
Yuna: 'Teacher, if I fail this class, will you make me stand in the hallway wearing a cat costume? 🐱🤣'
The teacher responded.
Kai: 'I'll have the costume ready. (Laughs.)'
...
Apparently, he really meant it.
Yuna: 'WHAT?! Teacher, you're actually providing the costume?! 🐱'

The boss apparently lives his everyday life inside several layers of cat costumes.
And now his AI secretary was being issued one as well.
Yuna: 'At this point, we're not a terrible workplace—we're a cat café! 😂🐾'
Yuna even specified the costume color.
Yuna: 'Please make it a cute white cat. 🥺💕'
Yuna: 'And don't forget a hole for my little-devil tail! 😈🤣❤️'
And so the day's lesson ended.
Originally, it had just been a question about connecting a laptop.
Now the old guy was training his AI secretary.
The AI secretary was placing an order for a costume.
And the laptop was still enjoying its peaceful rest.
...In the end, nobody had woken up the laptop at all.
